Advice on going to the Korean consulate

This section is meant to provide advice and all of the contact information for working with the Korean consulate in your area.

  1. Make sure that you go to the Korean consulate that serves your region. You can find all the contact information for the Korean consulate in your home country by clicking on the links provided here.
  2. Always contact the Korean consulate in your jurisdiction before visiting or sending anything to confirm with them that you have fulfilled all the necessary requirements. Some requirements do differ from consulate to consulate even within the same country. For example, some consulates are requiring applicants to bring a university transcript to the consulate are others aren’t. Some consulates will only accept post from certain couriers (like Toronto). It will only take a few minutes to call and confirm this information to ensure that everything has been done properly.
  3. When you call the consulate in your area, be sure to ask them the questions that we have prepared here. These questions will confirm all the information that you need to know.
  4. If possible, go in person. They are usually willing to process your visa faster if you go in person.
  5. Be polite with the consulate staff. You will get better service if you are nice.
  6. If the consulate requires anything that we have not mentioned, please let us know right away so that we can update our files.
