Tips for Teaching

  1. Have fun: Teaching should be fun. The school will provide you with the necessary materials (textbooks, flashcards, games) to get you started. As you gain more experience you can get creative in adapting the materials and having fun with them.
  2. Bring things from home: Even though the school provides you with materials, you can bring some things from home to enhance your teaching. This could include family photographs or photos of your hometown, maps, postcards, brochures, games and video. These personal touches will go a long way in creating a positive classroom environment and generating student interest.
  3. Talk to us: All of the recruiters at Morgan Recruiting have at least 10 years experience teaching in Korea. You are always welcome to discuss with us any teaching ideas you have.
  4. Use our orientation pack: In our New Teacher’s Orientation Pack, we’ve included a number of tips that will help with your teaching. This includes things to do on the first day of class, things to do for fun, and special holiday activities throughout the year. Also, we’ve included links to a number of sites which have great ideas for things to do in the classroom.
