Tips for Living in Korea
- Experience the country: Use your weekends and vacation time to travel around Korea to the mountains, beaches and temples. Get out and explore the country. Try the local cuisine, it’s delicious.
- Learn the language: Making an effort to learn a little Korean can really enhance your experience in Korea. Morgan Recruiting provides you with a list of schools where you can learn Korean (in our New Teacher’s Orientation Guidebook) and provides you with a basic Korean textbook to get you started in our Orientation Package. We have also included several links to online sites where you can learn Korean for free on our links page.
- Make friends: Get out and make friends. Find something that you love doing. If you love hiking, join one of the many clubs and go hiking around the mountains in Korea. Or join one of the many sports teams available, such as one of the local ice hockey teams (yes, we have them here). Joining clubs and attending events are great ways to involve yourself in your new community.
